I was going to post a three-page missive on Monday about the Charter School fiasco created by certain members of the City Council when I realized that all, and I do mean all, of my previous posts were deleted. I am investigating the matter now. I have decided not to post the epistle, appropriately titled, “Charter School Gate”, until the mystery is solved.

Quite frankly, I think my missing posts are a conspiracy on the part of the Uncivilized Association to undermine the truth as I see it. As a matter of fact, I think that organization is behind many of the problems faced by the world today, such as global warming. How, you ask, can the Uncivilized Association be behind global warming? One word…flatulence.

I’ll keep you posted on my missing postings.

On another note, I read a second letter to the editor from Daniel de Mont, the articulate and mostly well informed college student. I’m impressed. Therefore, I offer this open letter to him.

Dear Daniel,

I’m thinking about retiring and would like to turn over The Capevine to someone with moxie. With that said, you obviously don’t mind walking into the lion’s den and taking on the less desirable elements of our community. Therefore, if you are interested in becoming the next Paco, send me an email and we’ll talk.
